Listening to the NZ-Saffa ODI
"The challenge here is for New Zealand to make it hard for de Kock"

God I wish Clarke would just retire from ODI's already. He better retire after the world cup.
Khawaja and White stiff.
Guys like Adam Voges and Cameron White are stiff
Wade was literally the worst performing keeper with the bat
Remember that time when Wade was pretty much a god? Just because it wasn't Haddin in the team anymore.
Wade is a shit keeper too.
Could probably argue that there's a few bowlers who deserve to be there more right now than Hazelwood who's figures look ordinary if you remove his 7-fa against the redbacks who were shithouse really, but at least he's talented and improving with each international appearance so no real issue with that one.
Last spot in the 11 probably between Marsh and Coulter-Nile
if they wanted experience they should have picked paine.
Good pickup hedgehog
Hazlewood last 5 games
212/2
Eat a dick cunts, Wade is clearly second and none of your poverty cunts like Nevill, Hartley or Whiteman will ever get picked.
Interesting article on Wade's selection, make's a fair point on Wade at least getting the first go at the WK spot with the world cup just around the corner, I'm still far from convinced he's the man to take over from Haddin though, especially in the test arena where being able to dig in is much more important than scoring quickly.
With Australia boasting a packed batting line-up there is no chance of a wicketkeeper occupying a top-six berth, at least in the looming matches against South Africa, so he would need to be able to come in down the order and score straight away.Hartley ... has never made a half-century when batting outside the top four, recording a strike-rate of 58.68.
Paine ... has a strike-rate of 65.28 when batting at five or below.
Nevill had a strike-rate of 69.9 filling that role for the Blues this year.Matthew Wade ODI recall justifiable, despite low scoresWhen Wade has batted outside the top five, in 14 innings, he has averaged 45.91 at a strike-rate of 95.46.
... In the Matador Cup he was equal second on the dismissals tally with nine, despite wicketkeeping to a bowling attack that, statistically, was easily the worst in the competition. ... Of the five stumpings for the competition three were by Wade.
Doesn't justify it for me. He's terrible. Averages what, 20 at ODI level from roughly 50 matches now? Absolutely gross.
Edit -so yeah.. cool. His last innings there for Victoria(outside the top five), admittedly four years ago..
He is a shit keeper and a below average bat. Above average fuckstick however.
The fact he won't bat top 6 surely means going for the best glove man, and that definitely isn't wade.
Phil Hughes for keeper.
Gilly, Prior and Collingwood all chip in the comments.
Not sure I've ever seen a smugger face than that though![]()
Picture Phife losing a battle, come on, get off it
Put down the microphone son, surrender, forfeit
Hartley puts his hand up
BungaHartley has remodelled his batting, broadening his stroke play after being pigeon-holed as an accumulator - and he just wants national selectors to take notice.
"One thing they have said is that they're pretty aware of what I can do," he said.
"I guess what I'd like is to have an opportunity now to show them those areas that I have improved.
"The last time I played at the higher level, a tour match in 2009 and then going back a fair way playing Australia A - my game has evolved and changed a lot since then.
"So I'd like to go out there and show them that I can do it not just at this level, but the next level."
