The Chad gotta be best on ground after icing the game. Clutch performer![]()
Mate of mine won 20k USD on draftkings tonight.
I think the shortened games really lends itself too prioritising the midfield battle more so if you ask me. Pressure from the midfield appears to be all that matters so far.
It definetly hurts a team like Richmond whose midfield is pretty ordinary
I stand by my comment that a team like Richmond suffers massively from reduced quarters/games, the key trait to them as a team has been being fitter than anyone else and playing a smaller and faster team to take advantage of that. Now the other teams aren't having to play in red-time at all so that advantage is gone.
Even the past two weeks Richmond have finished strong in the last quarter as the other teams run out of steam a bit but it's been too late. Give them 5+ minutes each quarter where they kick a goal or two on average and they win the past two weeks pretty comfortably.
To be fair, even if they drop it's reasonable to think they'll drop at a fairly equal level, so the teams that have the higher fitness bases are going to still be the fitter teams even if they're not as fit as previously.
Probably does bring everyone closer to a middle ground though which I think will help the less fit teams. Probably a big factor in the Suns pumping the Eagles last week as well, they've generally been able to match teams for parts of quarters before fading, now that period isn't there for them. Amount of games they'd give up a couple of red time goals, be 5 goals down at HT and it turns into a drubbing from there. The difference being a goal up/down compared to that is huge.
Toast basically have a period where they blow teams away for 5 or 10 mins and then breakeven the rest of the game at best.
Theoretically this should suit them then... unless that 5-10 happens to be the last 5-10 in general in which case it will hurt them.
Given the list profile I dare say they're similar to Richmond in this regard though. Would love to see the Q4 and red time +/- on teams to be honest.
Well I vividly remember how shit we were in Q4s in 2017.
Literally 10+ games we tossed away by turning to complete shit. Don't know if it was a physical thing, or more mental.
Even in 2018 when we won the flag, I recall being 10 goals up at home vs Saints and scraping a win![]()

I don't think it's the length of qtrs that could be a problem for us. Considering our GPS numbers were worse vs the GC than our intro club scratchie the week before on the surface it seems an effort/mental problem. Having to live in an isolated hub will have a direct impact on that
How insanely attractive is GWS overall as a team? If you were a female trainer at that club you’d be servicing yourself 5 times a day
Such a stupid free kick to give away at the end of the qtr.
Imagine being Aiden Corr and being ragdolled to the floor by someone 26cm shorter than you![]()
I just assume at this stage the team keeps Jackson Hately and Stephen Coniglio atleast 15m apart because if that much handsomeness came into close proximity the world will likely never recover from the impact it would have on the female population
