    Collingwood have picks 41, 44, 57, 59, 60. The cumulative points total is 1,260.

Cal Twomey's phantom draft guide has ranked:
    - Quaynor at 14.
    - Will Kelly at 24.

... a points deficit resulting in next year's 1st pick to be pushed back in the draft to recoup the difference (of ~260pt)

Given you've traded your future 1st to Brisbane, for arguments sake, if your 2nd round pick next year is 35 (worth 522pt), you'd get downgraded to pick 51 (worth 259pt)
Updated from the original based on today's activity. Basically may make 3-5 picks difference next year, depending on where they finish of course.

So does that basically mean we will get both? or is there still a chance we might miss on Kelly?

If you're willing to match whatever bid comes in, you'll get both. The only issue in getting both is that it might hurt your draft position next year. Given that, the club may be a little hesitant to match a really high bid for both players but given the way they've set up, it appears they're expecting to take both.

Yeah the Pies will definitely be able to take both if they want to, just a matter of how early they're bid on which will determine how far back you go in next year's draft.

Seems like a long shot but there's a possibility if both go really early that you'll forfeit next year's 2nd round and be pushed back in the 3rd round too.

Ultimately getting two guys at a 20% discount is probably worth the bump next year anyway, in theory you're still a long way ahead.

Only real issue that comes along is obviously if you don't rate the player as highly as the club who bids on them, ala Sydney's ridiculous underrating of Dunkley but hey Tyrone Leonardis is really tearing it apart instead...

Fuck it's hard to have gone from a club who drafted, traded and managed the cap/players so well for so long to being absolutely dreadful at all these things. On top of that our coach hit gold half a decade ago and flat out refuses to change or adapt since so he's become an even bigger liability than the list management. Fuck a Tom Harley, was a cunt as a player, was a cunt as a commentator and is a cunty flog as an administrator.

We demand an investigation into the replacement of referee Rafshan Irmatov and his departure at a difficult time in such an important match. We ask for an examination of the grassland that was not suitable for the Syrian team, while Australian players seem to be wearing shoes that cling to the long grass, so we saw Syrian players fall during the game, while Australia's players are steady.

I have so much to give and share out but just not enough hours in the day to give it all out.

Lyons played 19 games last season and averaged 24.5 disposals for Gold Coast. He was ranked #1 for average disposals, #1 for clearances, #2 for inside 50s and #1 for contested possessions at the club

Seems like he asked to be delisted and Gold Coast just said "Yep cya"

A smart move by Brisbane for sure. He will fit their needs big time. They dont need speed. Just need a guy to win a clearance

He's one of those pure stat whore type of players. Doesn't use it well, doesn't damage, doesn't do anything defensively (good tackler in the stoppages).

I mean if it was any club but the Suns, who stink at absolutely everything and need help in every area, then I could totally understand cutting a guy like that but it's the fucking Suns and they need people who can actually play football.

I was a bit young to truly remember how bad the Dockers were when they started or the Lions were when they ended (Fitzroy) but I have to think that the Suns are run even worse than either of those two clubs.

I actually disagree with the 'would understand if it was anyone but the Suns line.

Suns will suck regardless. He obviously has a shit attitude and they've decided to fix the culture first. Get everyone pulling in the same direction as a priority.

They are probably one team where at least next year results dont matter too much. They are completely starting from scratch.

Not sure I buy into the 'obviously has shit attitude' line.

Also more appears as if he's asked to be let out of his contract early due to what Brisbane are offering and GC not really caring that much because at the end of the day, he isn't really going to make a huge difference for them and they've just brought in guys who play a similar role.

Lyons becomes the second player this trade period to go to a team with an appropriately named mascot, following Carlton's decision to sign Alex Fasolo.

    How would this team go

    FB: Kolodjashni, May, Saad
    HB: McKenzie, Scrimshaw, Hall
    C: Caddy, Prestia, G.Ablett
    HF: Barlow, T.Lynch, Matera
    FF: Garlett, Dixon, Hickey
    R: Smith, O'Meara, Lyons
I/C: Weller, Currie, Bennell, My mom

Would beat the current Gold Coast side for sure

Yeah not very well. They've just been incredibly bad at drafting, developing and retaining. Not going to have any success if you can't get any of those things right.

You just look at the GWS compensation in comparison, when they lose their guys they're getting firsts, sometimes multiple firsts, while GC are getting late round picks most of the time.

    GWS equivalent

FB: Lachie Plowman, Caleb Marchbank, Jake Barrett
HB: Nathan Wilson, Jack Hombsch, Jacob Townsend
C: Tom Scully, Adam Treloar, Taylor Adams
HF: Devon Smith, Tom Boyd, Jack Steele
FF: Rory Lobb, Josh Bruce, Will Hoskin-Elliot
R: Andrew Phillips, Dom Tyson, Matthew Kennedy
I/C: Cam McCarthy, James Stewart, Anthony Miles, Will Setterfield

Wonder what the return draft pick wise was for each team. Prefer Gold Coasts team myself
