    The Definitive Fitness/Aesthetics Thread

    A fresh forum and a fresh start for the aesthetics master race (and cardio bunnies like Red Bear ).

    On topic I'm cutting cardio out of my routine for the next month and gonna start taking creatine again. Particularly want to get my bench up to the ton for reps before I get back into running and swimming. Not looking to "bulk" or anything but definitely feel my cardio activities are making it harder for me to gain strength.

    Raced 8km this morning. Went over the line in about 35:01. Ran the same race in 30:04 two years ago

    I felt, in parts, I was running better than that. The run was basically uphill for about a km, downhill for 1-2 km (very steep in parts), uphill for about the same, then downhill again and then ends with a stretch on the beach. Right down the bottom of the first hill my shoelace came undone which really killed my momentum as I was looking to push up the hill. Then I took at least two minutes, possibly longer, on the relatively short beach section because as soon as i hit the sand i just felt horrible, ended up having to duck to the side of the run to vomit I know last time though I just powered up the second big hill, this I struggled, frustrating that I don't have my hill running back at hall but i am running a lot better that May or so, whenever I ran the half marathon.

    I also got home from work at 2 am and had to get up at 6:30, so I don't think that helped.

    It's a great course though, bush either side and then spectacular coast views.

    Played younger team in Ellenbrook got smashed, only highlight personally was got a free kick and 50 metres after my opponent tried to get past me, One of their better players, he didn't like the holding the ball decision. Ran about 6km in only 40 mins of footy. Was stuffed after the game.

    My decision to cut cardio out of my program and start taking 14g of creatine per day as of Monday is already paying dividends.


    Even though I hate the water weight I'm holding aesthetically speaking I really want to stick it out until the end of November to see how much strength I can stack on, not looking to bulk so will be trying to hit calorie maintenance for the most part.

    Oh boy. Just booked myself a one way ticket to snap city trying to max out my deadlift. Lower back sounded like a I was cracking pepper. Can barely pick up dbs to do curls

    cool thanks dude, have been out of action due to travelling/sickness but started getting back into it the last couple days. Also attempting to quit smoking, shouldn't be an issue because none of my girlfriends friends smoke and usually only feel like a smoke when I'm around people who smoke. First couple days meant to be the hardest and i've gone 3-4 days without smoking when I'm sick.

    I'm booked in for a microdiscectomy on the 12th and can't play sport or do heavy lifting for 3 months after that
