You have to stop for them to kick in mate

No coffee club here but caffeine is a bitch of a drug, the come downs are real on it.

You sleep so much better without it though, like 4 hours sleep is better than 8-10 hours sleep better.

If you want to win the weight loss, just do what every contestant on every weight loss show does and overload with water before the first weigh in. Can usually put on an extra 3-4kgs just from water in the 12-24 hrs before it begins and piss away the kgs afterwards.

Also go to F45. Hate it but love it at the same time. It's fucking hard and it actually makes me go so I think it is well worth the money to make me go.

I was planning on having a crack. They keep giving away cool prizes, this one was an Everest trek. The winners lost like 12kg in the 8 weeks though, that's huge.

One of the reasons why I want to do the challenge. Drink too much during footy season which kills me.

    My recipe for shredz

Keto and fasted cardio twice a week with 3 lifting days. The 2 fasted cardio days are massive calorie deficits (because you only eat 1 meal for the day) and you can tailor the other days as you need.

The fasting days will work ok even if you're not in ketosis but works better with keto. The fasting days are epic for fat loss but the lifting days are crucial for muscle sparing in calorie deficit.

I actually 'did' the last F45 challenge. Was just a cheaper way to signup and got a free scan at the start. Didn't actually follow the diet. If you want to do it - be prepared it's fairly hard imo.

Got the free heart rate thingy you see the people in the class wear. Makes me work so much harder when I have it on - I'm ridiculously competitive - so I try and 'beat' all the other people there. No-one else cares about it apart from me - but it makes me push myself.

Every cardio and lifting session I've done for the past 5 years has been completed with a heart rate monitor, had a heavy back and biceps session today an my heart rate was off the charts hit a max of 159 doing 1 armed DB rows

It's probably nothing compared to an F45 class but for a free weights session it's pretty intense

Not sure how it times the "average heart rate" but my average heart rate in my least three sessions were 165, 160, 165 with max heart rate of 181, 181 and 180.

I'm unfit though so my resting heart rate is probably higher than most.

Na mate not a member. Would just be signing up for the challenge.

My mate who basically got me onto it just posted his final weigh in. Lost 11kgs and 10% bf.

Going to think out loud here....trying to work out how I can change things up now it's getting warmer

Reckon swimming 4 times a week is somewhat unsustainable for me. Means there's once I have to swim two days in a row, which hurts due to aging sore shoulders and slower recovery, especially with also fitting in a weights session. More of a mix may help

Although there's a couple of opportunities - I've been thinking about getting back into yoga once a week, I had to run for the bus the other day and realised my achilles isn't fucked anymore , will be able to swim at lunchtime again (once a week) now it's warmer, want to fit a second weights session in.

So need to work out a way to get to 3 swims, 2 weights, 2 runs, 1 yoga per week. Want a day where I do nothing, no swims two days in a row, no weights on same day as swimming. Yoga can come on same day as anything else, so can running. I think this is possible if my body doesn't pack it in.

    M - Run
    T - Swim, Yoga
    W - Weights, Run
    T - Swim
    F -
    S - Weights, Run
    S - Swim

Let me think about this. Some logistical challenges in terms of carting the right gear to/from work for the right days

Making sure you get enough protein will massively aid with recovery by the way. 2g per kg of lean body mass is the gold standard (ideally split up in 30g-40g servings during the day)

So for you 73kg body weight at 10% body fat (guessing here because were never delivered) give you a LBM of 65.7kg and an ideal protein consumption of 131g.

Most people would struggle to hit half that as itís the equivalent of 650g of meat.

It's more just a level of soreness I can't be fucked swimming with two days in a row. I can still swim, just no point me grinding out a swim the following day when I'm not really training for anything. A boring recovery session the next day just doesn't do it for me

I find body fat percentages hard to gauge, I don't think I'd be 10%, but most probably sub 15% easily enough going off internet crap. I don't think I could ever be fucked measuring

Go with what is most sustainable, unless you've got a particular date/ goal in mind. No need to go that hard.

..Also makes the rest of us feel better ya fit clint

that feel when training is closest thing to gf though

friends actually bring this up as a legit reason they are 30kg overweight, when there wives do the (somewhat fair but ultimately) bitch thing and compare them to me

a (small) part of the reason I have been thinking of going back to yoga is that weekly test boost that being at the back of the class while all the sloots do cat/cow curls can bring
