Lawn and order :special mowing unit:

In the lawn mowing system, weeds and crab grass based offences are considered especially heinous. The dedicated lawn workers who mow this vicious vegetation are members of an elite squad known as the special mowing unit. These are their stories

Cut off the affected area... but even then it’s too late by the time you’ve noticed it they’ve already reproduced

Pretty much impossible to prevent but spray regulaly with confidor and hang those sticky fly trap things off them they do help a bit

    Fk, we've needed this thread.

Only a small patch out the back but it's lush Santa Anna. Just de-thatched over the weekend and in the middle of controlling a minor spread of clover in patches.

My wife and I are in the process of designing up our new joint that we're building and at this stage should have about 300sqm of (split) backyard, so trying to eye off a nice condition Scott Bonnar to treat myself with when the build is finished.
We demand an investigation into the replacement of referee Rafshan Irmatov and his departure at a difficult time in such an important match. We ask for an examination of the grassland that was not suitable for the Syrian team, while Australian players seem to be wearing shoes that cling to the long grass, so we saw Syrian players fall during the game, while Australia's players are steady.

300sqm of yard fucking hate shitty new builds with zero yard.

When I moved it they had vines over the two main fences in the backyard, completely overgrown, growing up onto the pergola and even onto the house roof. First thing I did when I moved in was cut them all at the base, took a few weeks for them to die then ripped everything out leaving me with brick & bare garden beds. Took fucking ages cos I'm a lazy cunt.

I then ripped up about 50sqm (absolute guess is 5m x 10m but maybe slightly bigger) of brick & garden bed to put in Sir Walter just before I moved out. Huge difference aesthetically and perfect space for a dog.

Still quite a bit of work I'd like to do on the garden, I left a bunch of stuff that was easy maintenance / not overgrown but still could do a lot of improvement.

Not moving back in until June anyway, so a while off. Just hope the tenants haven't fucked the lawn completely, in a few inspection photos it looked bad but apparently they've "fixed" the retic (i.e. turned it on again).

I just went through a phase of controlling clover. Sprayed a couple of weeks ago (also did one at the start of winter). Hate the fuckers.

Strongly considering getting a Bonnar myself but I have a Masport that has been bulletproof for the better part of 8 years. Great bit of machinery. The Bonnars are class though.

Yeah my old boy has a Masport with a Briggs & Stratton engine and he absolutely loves it as well.

Yeah that was our big thing when we were looking at land was to make sure it had a big backyard coz I hate lots of the new developments with fuck all backyards. The block is 726sqm and very long. Still have 12.5m frontage, left side is 62m and right side is 49m long. Probably going to have to split the backyard into 2 levels as it's a bit slopey, but I'm alright with that.

Transplanted 3 fruit trees before Winter last year to the back yard, moved them from my vegetable garden out the front. I bury scraps, from vegetables to fruit. I wasn't sure they were going to make it. They have. Leaves are plentiful once again.

Grass out the back is still looking pretty avg compared to this time last few years, will get some Munns Golf Gourse Green on it over the weekend after a nice cut now i've managed to get the clover under control.

In other news, my (pygmy) lemon tree has gone boonta and about a week away from a decent haul.
