whale, so glad I read Warbreaker before Rhythm of War, was really cool seeing some of the linkage stuff I'd have otherwise not picked up. Just finished Rhythm then, loved it, last chapter I'm a little unsure as to what happened - I assume you've also read it?

Nope, haven't got it yet. Want to finish the malazan series before I get into anything else (finished the 9th last week, now reading the 10th and final book)

Did you read dawnshard? Any good?

Nah I skipped Dawnshard in the end as I couldn't buy a paper copy or audio book - I can't get into reading that kind of stuff on a computer. Plan on getting to it at some point though.

    Any good book recommendations lately?

Some I've enjoyed lately since my last update (mostly old):

Ender's Game - a bit Young Adulty, but I still enjoyed it.
The Godfather - HATE old movies, just can't do anything pre-1990. So the book is 'new' to me. Loved it.
    Jurassic Park
Dark Matter - bit of a page turner.
The Devil All the Time - a bit dark but liked it.

Ended up hitting 50 last year by the way - which I was stoked about.

What an utterly odd reason to have not seen two of the greatest movies ever made!

I can understand it for action movies to an extent where they end up somewhat comical but for a drama like The Godfather Part 1 and 2 they've held up really well.

I'm in the same boat as Trigg with old movies.

Recently finished Ali, didn't really find it anything special.

I understand it's a weird take, and I may give it another go now I've read the book, but I just can't take them seriously. I get distracted by how shit the camera quality is.

I bought a Kindle recently, I've always had an aversion to the idea because I love a physical book but I've been converted.

Much more practical for reading on the go.

I'm now about 2/3rds of the way through a compilation of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian stories I downloaded for about $2. They were written as pulp fiction in the 30s and it shows (dat casual racism and sexism) but they're entertaining nonetheless, and a lot better written than I assumed they would be.

Been using Lithium on an android tablet which works ok. I assume the big advantage to a kindle is battery life?
