Another apology to this Higgins woman, this time highly compromising the actual trial.

This trial by media aspect is actually embarrassing in the first place but to have the PM come out and directly influence it really should have the whole thing thrown out, it's actually genuinely disgusting how he's willing to undermine the rule of law to make a completely unnecessary and groveling apology to try and appeal to a group of people that were never voting for him anyway.

The man is as bad as McGowan with his level of narcissism only he's a little bitch coward as well. Grow a spine.

Snake eyes on a paradise is a bit of a brain tickler though, not sure it makes any sense.

I mean I don't want to defend him but I honestly couldn't tell you what any of those 3 things cost either.

I don't even remember the last time I bought bread, maybe as a child?

I buy petrol once every 3 or so months and the price changes like a fucking yo-yo, I went from paying like a dollar to 1.70 between two of the fills.

And I don't know why I'd buy a RAT, if I take it and it turned out I'm positive I'm just risking a 50k fine if I ignore it or 2 weeks off work if I acknowledge it, that's a lose-lose so no idea why I would want to test.

I actually couldn't tell you what anything I've bought in a supermarket costs either, I make a list, grab what I need, scan and pay and get the hell out of there, not in there caring about whether something is 50 cents cheaper than last time I bought it...

He should’ve known off the top of his head what a RAT cost considering there was a huge debate about them being subsidised or placed on the PBS.

I feel like it’s a lose lose question, choosing not to answer it is no worse than answering it.

He nails it = accuse of Dorothy Dixer
He gets it wrong = worst of them all, fucking dairy farmers up in arms etc etc

    That’s politics for ya

Soooo friendlyjordies scooped this story about the details of an 'independent' investigation commissioned by the department of finance in the wake of the desk wanker affair and published his video on monday, the story has lit up twitter like a crimbo tree as it involves allegations of homosexual sex acts in the prayer room at parliament house between numerous coalition mps amongst themselves and with 3rd parties (potentially male prostitutes)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X55baVi4p4Y

Video has subsequently been zucced from youtube australia due to a defamation case

but for those too retarded to use a vpn I've found a copy on vimeo for your viewing pleasure

no main stream media outlets have touched this topic, will be interesting to see what becomes of this defamation case and if anyone else picks it up

A lot can change in the next few weeks, but at the moment I think Libs would be better off if they made the change. Resign cause he got cancer (from his own ukulele playing) or some shit

If they get another term then I’m convinced the pollster nerds aren’t wrong and the AEC are North Korea levels of compromised.

If the last election was the unloseable for Labor then this one is the unwinnable for Australia.

Still not sure which one of Albanese and Morrison is actually worse.

One is a clint, and not the good kind, but has done a surprisingly good job by metrics that actually matter. The other is a complete doormat with a personality that most walls would be ashamed of and literally no policy or if he has any, no ability to put it into words and explain what it is.

Which is why I’m fully expecting we end up with some garbage parliament packed with Indies, like around the time of the Gillard/Tonez period

If Curtin in Perth is genuinely under threat, big lolz about what could happen anywhere basically

Be interesting to see what happens to the Liberal Party if a few of the independents get in.

Don’t think they can keep govt if they lose a couple even if they hold off Labour for the most part in QLD/WA. A bloodbath with Frydenberg losing his seat would be hilarious.

With the ‘moderate’ faction gutted do the Libs decide they need to shift towards the moderates to win them back or do the conservatives just take charge and go full sky news.

I was surprised to hear denburg is in danger. Seems like one of the reasonable ones tbh. I obviously don’t see too much of him but from interviews I’ve seen would likely prefer him to either of the two morons in charge of the major parties atm

Would be nice if they redeveloped as a proper Liberal Party (without Scotty, Dutton etc), but I expect we go down the full mong conservative path, tending towards the extremes like the US

    Both sides are pretty fucked.

Labor bending to the Greens and significantly left types has the equal and opposite reaction of the Libs bending to the not so moderate right in their party, both pulling further and further from the centre with each election.

There's definitely room at this point for a genuine centrist type party in Australia.

Funniest thing is that if either party would realise this and stop pushing towards their unpopular extremes they'd shit it in. If Labor had come with a "we're not going to waste absurd amounts of money on stupid shit" policy instead of the exact opposite they're campaigning on they win this pretty easily. If the Libs would stop the church crap, show some form of thought towards non-Boomers in any way at all and stop calling every vocal minority they can into action against them they'd have done similar...

It's the weirdest election I can ever remember where both parties seem to be campaigning and targeting only their own fixed and firm voter bases, they genuinely both seem to not want the undecided votes which ultimately are what matters. The funniest thing is the more Labor becomes the Greens and the Libs becomes whatever it is they're trying to be, the more that people who lean that way will just vote for the party that actually stands for those things so you lose votes that way as well...

Own property, not my super. Play on!

This really is the race to the bottom election of pandering to vocal minorities on every issue to try and scalp votes.

Still not sure which of the parties is worse but pretty sure it's basically the two worst campaigns I've ever seen.
