    WCE Newcastle United
Arctic Monkeys- Four out of Five
    BROCKHAMPTON- 1999 WILDFIRE
    CHRVCHES- Never Say Die
    Childish Gambino- Summertime Magic
    Gorillaz- Humility
Nothing But Thieves- Forever and Ever More
    Middle Kids- Mistake
    Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever- Mainland
    Rufus- Underwater
    The Rubens- God Forgot

Some of the songs at the top I'm baffled by the popularity of, especially that Losing It 'song', what is the appeal of it?

Have about $300 on Confidence when it was between $12-$16 on various sites so pick up about $3.5k if it gets up. Have about $750 on it so far overall.

Eves Karydas is absurdly hot. That further than planes fly song is catchy as hell too.

    2018 Triple J Hottest 100

Have 750 on it, doesn’t vote for it

I get it, but would 100% be making sure it doesn’t lose by a single vote. When does voting close?

Don't have my complete top 10 worked out but a few songs are guaranteed to make it.

    Jon Hopkins - Emerald Rush

Tropical Fuck Storm - You Let My Tyres Down

Rolling Blackout Costal Fever - Talking Straight (Hey this one is actually a chance to make the countdown)

    SOPHIE - IMMATERIAL

    and some almost guaranteed

Kamasi Washington - Fists of Fury

    IceAge - Catch It

I can't believe Confidence is 2018, thought for sure it was in last year's Hottest 100.

    I haven't even attempted a shortlist yet.

Just 300 on Confidence, another 450 on other bets. Used a couple of different emails to vote for it as well, pretty unlikely to make a difference though. Voting closes in about a week I think, it's usually a couple of days before.

Good list. Most of those made my shortlist (was at well over 100 )

Really like the middle kids stuff. Could of voted for 3 or 4 of their tunes.

I've been going through a lot of the old hottest 100's trying to convince myself that it was better back when I was a teenager. Nope, still filled with bog average forgettable and bland songs. maybe the 90's is where it was at.

Some years weren't bad. 2005 countdown had a lot of Gorrilaz, Bloc Party and White Stripes. But Bernard Fanning and Ben Lee went 1&2, and there were 6 Wolfmother songs in the countdown. So yeah...

    Great diverse list.

Grimes and that Antony & Cleopatra song were the last two kicked from my shortlist

Congratulations on being the first one to achieve the "I've never even heard of any of those bands" award this year.

To be fair though, wolfgang also has the achievement but has only posted a half list and technically I listened to that Emerald Rush song last week when someone posted it in one of the music threads...

Not my intention at all. I don't even post to social media tbh.

I just give votes to the bands I love and really none of them are a chance to win. I could have easily thrown in a couple of Drake songs.

On the plus side not having this on aussie day means the day opens up for listening to actual good aussie music

To clarify I'd never listen to this shit on my own accord but invariably wherever I go is playing it.
