How do you reckon I should play this?

Hurricanes win the tournament = $4800 return ($2800 profit)
Sixers win the tournament = $2800 return ($800 profit)

    Renegades/Stars win the tournament = $~2k loss

On one hand, think the Renegades have great odds to beat the Sixers without Curran, but think Stars will win the tournament if they beat the Hurricanes, and would prefer they played second.

Think if the Hurricanes won, I wouldn't touch the second semi final, and hedge live if need be? But if the Stars win, hand is kinda forced to have a go at the second semi?

Hmm there are so many alternatives here.
    - Whether you simply sell Hurricanes to win the BBL and hope that the Sixers win if the Canes don't.
    - Whether you back Stars to beat the Canes.
    - Whether you back Stars overall if you think it would be a Melbourne Derby final.

Then if the Stars win and Sixers win it opens up a lot more room to play with for the final.

For mine, if Hurricanes win the semi they should romp in the final. Is Faulkner going to be fit?

Bloke came into the casino last night and within 30 minutes won the Poker Progressive jackpot of $1.1m (Royal Flush on the flop).

We demand an investigation into the replacement of referee Rafshan Irmatov and his departure at a difficult time in such an important match. We ask for an examination of the grassland that was not suitable for the Syrian team, while Australian players seem to be wearing shoes that cling to the long grass, so we saw Syrian players fall during the game, while Australia's players are steady.

A guy from my high school did virtually the same thing.

Except back then the min bet for the jackpot was only $2.50 as opposed to $5. He made roughly 120k. Next day drops about a 3rd of that on a brand new car

A Asian lady in Perth won the Poker Progressive Jacktop 3 times in a 10 year period. She wasnt someone who went all the time either. Just someone who went once a week. She always complained how unlucky she is too

Wtf 1.1m is a huge progressive jackpot!!?!

Crown has it between 30K-100K usually.

My mate is always spewing cause he hit a royal flush on the flop, about 6 months before they introduced it haha

Crown Perth has staggered amounts because you either opt in for 5, 10 or 15 for the jackpot. But min is like 50k but regularly is in the 6 figure or million dollar sums.

Payouts start for a straight on the flop all the way to royal flush.

Think for the 5 dollar jackpot it's 125 for straight, 250 flush, 500 full house, 2500 4 of a kind, 10% jackpot straight flush and jackpot for royal flush.

The amount of jackpot varies for each denomination though, but for all the smaller prizes it's obviously double or triple that amount.

I got an SMS just over a week ago from Crown saying the $15 jackpot is currently over $3m...

Was 1 short of a straight flush for 40k a couple of years back

Yeah it hadn't gone off in a verrrry long time. We've had about 3 straight flush wins since December, then the big one last night. Ours starts at $100k, but there's a reserve jackpot so it never starts at 100k if that makes any sense.

Started at $498k this morning after it went off.

This was ridiculous. Blokes selling the odds for a $15 subscription in a Facebook group that they let anyone join. Went to one match in Richmond that they fixed that involved the team not being bet on race out to a 3-0 lead, before an own goal, a penalty, a player being stretchered off and the keeper being red carded in the second half to lose 4-3. No transparency whatsoever. Was an absolute joke.

    Ive recently had a thought.

Put 10 000 on a greyhound n a 725 long disance race. If your greyhound is getting owned and has no hope of winning, run onto the track and tackle the leading dog and others thereby creating a no race situation. Bet returned

    Its essentially a free bet

What happens if it is going pretty well, has a chance to win but you aren't 100% sure? Do you just take the chance and give it a go? Or just tackle anyway?

Lay on the live bet? Otherwise take the chance you take the chance knowing that you now have good odds. Would want to do this in a 4.00 favorite race to be honest to make it worthwhile

Also think its pretty rare in 725m races for the greyhound in front not to 100% be winning

What do I want to see more - Embers attempting to tackle a greyhound at full tilt, or hip and shouldering Black Caviar

Can we get both, so I know for sure?

Old mate Tombo is now hawking his tips with the selling point that the odds are better than what you get at the jump.

Real helpful when they come dead last.

Obviously that'll be the case if you have a merry band of dipshits who hang off every word you type pushing the prices down

Nah. But still get the sales pitches. Free week of this or that.
