Speaking of which, anyone willing to give me odds on him scoring with his hand at one point in his career?

Aguero has done it, Maradona has done it, and Messi has done it.

Dejan Lovren has made 4 defensive errors this season - the most in the league individually.

    Southampton have made zero.

One thing I've always wanted to see in football is a "World Champion Club" Belt. Not from the actual world club championships, more like how they do it in the WWE.

So like, lets say Bayern Munich win the next world club champion thingo. Since there's no current champion, they can start. Then Bayern play in the Bundesliga, and lose to, I don't know, Dortmund. Dortmund would be new champions. Then Dortmund go to the Champions League and lose to Chelsea. The belt goes back to England with them.

Where it really gets interesting is where Chelsea play, say, Hereford in the League Cup. Just by the nature of the draw, Hereford would have a chance to be world club champions. That's really the beauty of it, it gives smaller teams the possibility of winning something with worldwide renown. That, and instead of pre-season friendlies clubs could have "World Championship Matches"
    cognitive dissonance

Well based on that system, the European Championship is currently with Getafe.

    Meh.

Sounds pretty cool but it could easily float around in some lower league for a season or 2...

It would never leave a continent really.

Well, Real Madrid are representing UEFA in the World Club Championship in December, so I'm guessing Bayern will be hard pressed to win it.

You're right. That's the beauty of it, in a way.

No, it wouldn't leave a continent. Would make the club world cup a big deal though.

Origi scores for Belgium in a friendly overnight... wouldn't it be nice to have a forward that can score goals...

Suarez scored two for Uruguay in a friendly not long ago.

That equals Balotelli's output since joining Liverpool.

    Internationals don't count.

    Even Townsend scores in those.
