Messi staying at Barca after getting screwed over by Barto but loving the club too much to take legal action is really sad.

Sad? Personally finding the meltdown hilarious.

Més que un club my arse, menos que un player more like.

    This

First world problems for sure. Both deserve the impending failure they will both get.

Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden in trouble for having girls in their hotel room in Reykjavik, which was against quarantine rules.

I'm shocked. And appalled. Greenwood has disgraced Manchester United. Letting City players in his room? Unthinkable.

Pretty emphatic 7-2 win this morning over Lincoln City in the League Cup. Almost managed to field a completely 2nd string team but we're short a CB so VVD had to play. Would like to see us bring in another CB, especially with Matic and Gomez both injured at the moment.

Would really like us to start getting more games into Jones but not sure exactly how we're going to do that.

Thought we were pretty vulnerable defensively, mostly throughout the second half. They just lacked the polish required which is to be expected. Curtis Jones and Minamino were beyond excellent, Shaqiri didn't do a lot outside the free kick goal but what a magnificent goal it was

Given our first few games of the year, I suspect defensively vulnerable is going to be an ongoing theme for this season.

we are so crap. It is hard to put it into words.

If I had to try, I would say Conference-bound.

In 4 weeks time Perth Glory have to play Shanghai Shensua.

They have 12 players on their books and 10 players willing to play. Could be a interesting game in a few weeks

    Glory have 12.

I guess with you being away you've missed the shit storm of everyone leaving, the deals for players we signed being cancelled (Nabbout and a couple others) as they couldn't travel to Perth and players leaving as they've supposedly been on JobKeeper.

Wanderers have managed to get most of their contracted players re-signed. Anyone whose contract was up has gone eg Jurman. Lopar never came back from Switzerland and won't.

They're after sacking JP too. Why now? Classic Wanderers.

12 players. All uncontracted players left. Castro is refusing to play and is in mediation talks with the club demanding his full wage, Ikonmondis is injured. Kilkenny also going to head to the India League unless the wage situation changes in the next 4 weeks. Chris Harold retired this week as he would get a better wage doing a 9-5 job and then playing State league then he was being offered to play for the Glory

    Squad atm is

Liam Reddy, Alex Grant, Neil Kilkenny, Diego Castro, Bruno Fornaroli, Osama Malik, Chris Ikonomidis, Nicholas D'Agostino, Tarek Elrich, Daniel Margush, Dane Ingham, Carlo Armiento

Richard Garcia is only coach on the payroll too.

Can't work out why they're bothering with the AFC for this year - wasn't as if they were already deep into the competition.

If I was an Australian team I'd just forfeit.

Its actually one of the few things they do they actually make money from doing.... TV Rights money etc is pretty big for the competition weirdly enough as is the prize money component

surely the games are not being played on Aussie Soil.

and surely they will try and wrap it up as quickly as possible.

Expectation is Glory travel around Asia for 4 weeks playing the games, come back, quarantine then play the A-League

    Not all that realistic though
