Thought this was getting earlier every year - but it's a full day later than last year's thread...

Europe's first champions already crowned, as you probably know - Celtic upsetting all the odds. Brendan Rodgers in his typical understated style believes Celtic would finish top six in England.

Sheffield United confirmed promotion to the second division in England, Doncaster Rovers confirmed up to the third.

Portsmouth should instead be my boys Plymouth in the qualified for playoffs in D2. Brighton look like going to the top league for the first time since 1982 which is exciting. Always good to see new teams in the premier league.

Chesterfield are almost relegated to league 2. Bolton has to win to prevent Sheff Utd taking the title.

Scunny has games against the bottom 3 to round off the season. If we manage to fail to make playoffs from here, i am going to be very very upset.

Congratulations meanwhile to Hibernian who after last year's unlikely Cup success have secured promotion to the Scottish Premiership after a four year absence.

yeah, i posted it before Bolton started choking. Sheff Utd are well-deserved champions.

if Southend lose and Scunny win, then a play-off spot for the Iron is secured. so so close.

Scunny winning at Swindon. Fans are on the verge of a riot. If Swindon lose, they are relegated.

LO looked doom. 2-0 down in a game they must win.

Wigan!!!! are in trouble as well. Notts Forest are beating Reading and if that happens, Wigan!!! are straight back down to league 1.

At the other end of the Championship, Leeds are faltering and look like the might miss the playoffs now and if Newcastle win on Monday night at home against Preston, they're back in the Premier League.

Wigan!'s game was a draw so they're still mathematically alive. Don't like their chances though.

    A few other titbits

Leyton Orient out of the football leagues for the first time since 1905 (when they were still Clapton Town)

Notlob went 0-1 up at Port Vale and as Gillingham were then beating Fleetwood Town that would've meant they were promoted. So their dickhead supporters all ran on the pitch and the game got held up by ten minutes. By the time they could restart Fleetwood had turned it around, so Bolton still haven't confirmed promotion.

Europa League at worst confirmed for Liverpool, City and United - as well as Chelsea and Spurs who are still yet to confirm Champs League qualification.

Bit of drama in the 2nd tier relegation battle. Huddersfield dropped 10 players for the game against Birmingham. Birmingham played with 10 men and still comfortably won. Huddersfield this week did a big batch off hard training so pretty much the players who did play were completely rooted physically. Essentially Huddersfield did as much as physically possible to not win

The win puts Birmingham out of the relegation spots. With even a draw Birmingham would have been in the bottom 3 if Huddersfield well tried.

Jackson Irvines team is now safe too which is nice
