He wanted defenders, they didnt have any money to sign any/didnt back him and the shit has hit the fan accordingly. Alex Baptiste was barely League One standard two years ago when he played in that division so why he is starting for your lot for?
Yeah I don't really blame him for it. We were a bottom half side all last season, lost arguably our best player in Smithies, Jack Robinson who played awesome in defense last season and Onuoha who started a heap as well. Only senior player we actually brought in was Leistner on a free from Germany, haven't seen a lot of him but he looks so slow.

I think Mclaren would have been told there won't be anything to spend either so he should have been prepared for it.

The thing that annoys me about the last transfer window is that we have an embargo for the January period, so we can't even fix it then.

Should have been given more freedom to sell then buy. You had Luke Freeman getting bids of 4-5 mill but obviously not wanting to sell cos the money wont be spent again. Smart thing to do would have been to sell and use the money to bring in 3 players on loan from the Prem League to fill the gaps

    Scunny are screwed.

we lost 5-0 to Joey Barton and Fleetwood AT HOME. We were 4-0 down at HT.

there have been warning signs in the last 3 games that we were shit. This confirms it.

I never want to hear people complaining about referees again after seeing some of the League One officiating.

Weíve still only lost once, drawn far too many but setting ourselves up nicely.

Josh Maja is a huge talent - 9 goals already for a 19 year old.

make that 3 times we have been 2-0 up and we fucked it up in only 10-12 games

also, have now lost 3 in a row. We have had a hard run though but this defence is a joke.

Can anyone kick a ball and live in the Humberside area. Scunny could only name 6 subs this morning. Slightly concerning. Oh well, we only conceded 2 goals this morning, despite being 10 men for the entire 2nd half. Thats better than our average so far this year.

James Perch hasn't changed from his Newcastle days. yellows cards everywhere. 6 yellows and now a red(for 2 yellows) in 17 games.

Finally got a watch a game of ours this morning against Barnsley who are one of our promotion rivals. We should have been 5-0 up inside half hour but had to settle for 3-0, our link up play was incredible. Then we shat the bed and were under the pump but recovered well in the final 15 to win 4-2.

Aidan McGeady is a class above (as he should), but our academy products (Maja, Gooch, Honeyman) are running the show. We will do well to hold onto Maja, 12 goals so far as a 19 year old. Got some flaws to his game but his finishing is outrageous.

We are so getting relegated with this current team. Can't score and certainly can't defend. reckon we have the worst defensive record in the football league. Injures haven't helped but the manager keeps swapping and changing things, just trying to stop us conceding. He was totally dejected last game v Doncaster(which we lost 3-0) when 2 more players went down with injuries.

Chairmen has basically said that the current team isn't good enough. big Jan coming up. But first, relegation 6 pointer v Bradford.

    You need Mark Hughes.

hmm... tough choice. Lee Novak or a 55-year-old Mark Hughes up front.

When can Sparky start? As long as he doesn't try to be a manager, I am all for it.

Nobody deserves Mark Hughes. I can't believe he got another job after leaving QPR really. Just useless.

A fan base would have to riot if he was hired there.

Since the turn of the year, we haven't lost. We did sign 5 new players, but it is still essentially the same team playing which completely sucked for months. Amazing what some competition for places and some confidence does for a team.

Last night, we dominated Joe Davola team, to a 1-1 draw. (with a late equaliser for us), last month, we would have lost this 3 or 4 nil.

Mid table boredom, here we come.

Norwich have taken top spot from Leeds after winning at Elland Road. No standouts this year (2+ pts/game) but there's still 7 teams who can realistically win the league with 16/17 games to go.
