Fair to say they aren't a minnow anymore. On their patch, they are as good as any team. Would be good if they toured here same time instead of the laughable Windies, hey CA.
Probably says as much about how far the Windies have fallen.

It's so sad, they were the greatest team in the world and everything about what they did was just right as well, basically cricket has followed them down after peaking with them. Cricket will never be remotely as fun as the Windies made it.

Found a notebook containing senior politicians names in it. Rumour doing the rounds is that he'd done it to frame some bloke who stole his girlfriend

Im not sure myself. I think it is one of those things where I was born with a crop of awesome and then I have kind of watered the gardens, tended to the farm and created this farmable mass of fantastic brilliance. I have so much to give and share out but just not enough hours in the day to give it all out.

""Cricket has a funny way about it but he also, two weeks ago, hit 160 not out here against South Australia to win the game for Western Australia. He is a very good player. Sometimes the more you start stressing about it, the more you start thinking and reading about it ... imagine being a player these days and reading everyone's opinion of you and how you are going."

Smith confirming Warner went rogue, admitting he said "I don't want to know about it" when he was first made aware. I tell ya what, I find it very very hard to believe Warner will be welcomed back. I know for certain that Starc absolutely hates him and very clear from Taylor's comments above and parts of this Smith video, that relationships are not in a good place.

The public hate Warner as well. Most people feel sorry for Smith and Bancroft. You don't get that for Warner.

It isnt just the ball tampering counting against that. It is the perception that he can dish it out, but can't take it. His whole behaviour in South Africa was a disgrace.

He should just become a T20 specialist now.

did anyone actually like Warner ever? could just be re-writing history for my benefit but wasn't he always some smug cunt, who got dropped into the test team without deserving it, based on some T20s?

Can only answer personally really, and I've never been a fan. That said, regarding his Test selection, he did make a ton of grade runs and then Shield runs in the lead up. If my memory serves me correctly, he and Ed Cowan both opened the batting as debutants, and I remember melting because Cowan was only a late call up through injury despite shredding Warner in the lead-up Australia A match.

Warner debuted in the NZ series. Cowan debuted after Hughes' B Martin C Guptil series.

Right you are. The A match must have been in the lead up to NZ? My saving grace is them both debuting in the same month I guess.
