    The Ashley Sampis 2019

    Dunno.....

    Khawaja opens.
Harris partners him if he keeps his form up over the next few tests. Warner if not unfortunately.
    I'd play Doolan at 3
    Smith at 4
    Head or Labuschagne at 5
    Wade at 6
    Paine 7
    Pattinson
    Cummins
    Lyon
    Hazlewood/Siddle

Or potentially no Wade, and 5 bowlers.

Wouldn't even bother putting Starc in the squad. Tremain ahead of him, possibly Meredith too. Fawad as the other spinner.

Hazelwood should be fairly proficient in England imo. He bowls with great seam position. Starc will not.

I thought he was lucky to avoid being dropped last series over there.

    Too predictable.

Starc is one of those players who will never be dropped. They ignore the stats and will keep picking him because he is a lefty who creates rough patches for Lyon and he bowls really fast.......

His stats are not terrible but I recall being disappointed too. That was 4 years ago and I think only his 3rd series. He should be a far more complete bowler now.

Remain unimpressed by James Pattinson since returning. He's basically a Chihuahua. All bark and absolutely no bite.

Im not sure myself. I think it is one of those things where I was born with a crop of awesome and then I have kind of watered the gardens, tended to the farm and created this farmable mass of fantastic brilliance. I have so much to give and share out but just not enough hours in the day to give it all out.

    Its hard sometimes

Entirely down to McDermott requesting he start trying to bowl a bit quicker and move away from his line and length approach which ironically, would have shredded in the UK.

He's got quota limits on his overs. Batsmen know it.

If he's still in one piece after the BBL, I reckon he'll tear it up with the Duke ball again.

Best swing bowler in the country imo is Dan Worrall.

Injured though? If I'm going to pick a bolter, thinking that the Dukes may do a bit down Tassie way, Gabe Bell. 21 wickets at 24 so far this season, and moves it around a bit.

Using the duke ball in the remaining shield games which will be interesting. I'll wait and see who bowls well with that.

Got this weird feeling they're just going to bite the bullet and go all in on Pucovski. No info, just a hunch I've got late this afternoon.

i really hope not. Make him actually earn it for a year. Make sure he is mature enough to cope with the expectation. Make sure he is healthy enough.

At least Renshaw was making runs when they picked him. But even so, he didn't last 2 summers. T

Now that you mention it though, Ashley Sampi getting signed by the Scorchers and sending down some sandshoe crushers would be what the tournament needs.
