We have that many issues and despite the refs royally fucking us over and over we had a shot to win the game against them.

They won't win shit in January with Dak and Garrett. Guaranteed.

Oh I'm not saying they will but they could and they're a solid side. There offense is going to put up big scores but if it does enough they've got a chance. As you'd know firsthand from last year, only takes the QB getting a hot hand for a month and things change rapidly when you've already got a really good defense going.

Maybe. But regardless they are a boring as batshit team who are super conservative with no real likeable players. If I have to watch them I'd prefer a humiliating loss just to reinforce to their already arrogant fans that they are a shit team going nowhere

Also, good to see the annual Andy Reid choke has begun, they tried everything to lose to an impotent Baltimore team last week and fell over the line this week.

Drew Brees of New Orleans Saints gifts 174 players, coaches milestone balls

Drew Brees surprised dozens of his past and present receivers, offensive linemen, coaches and mentors this week with commemorative footballs and letters to recognize the part they played in him breaking the NFL career passing-yardage record.

"I wanted to do something for everybody," said the New Orleans Saints quarterback, who broke the record on Monday Night Football in Week 5 and has 73,908 career passing yards. "Obviously the emotions that came after that and just the reflections. It was a good thing that we were going into a bye week because it gave me a chance just to take a deep breath. And you just start thinking about all the guys that had a hand in that.

"Take care of those who take care of me."

Brees said the best part has been receiving feedback from those who received their gifts this week. He opened up his phone to share a hilarious video from his first fullback with the San Diego Chargers, Fred McCrary, who excitedly showed off his football to friends in a barber shop, shouting, "I'm famous today!"

Brees credited Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, communications director Doug Miller and the media relations staff for helping him put together a list and tracking down addresses and the like. The 39-year-old said his first thought was to do something for everyone who had ever caught a pass from him with both the Saints and Chargers.

"And then I started thinking, 'Well, it's not just about the receivers, it's about the guys blocking.' So it's like, 'All right, let's find every offensive lineman that's ever started a game,'" Brees said. "So we did that. Then I started thinking about coaches, then I started thinking about other people as well. So it was actually a long list. But I just wanted to do that for them."

In all, the Saints said they shipped out balls to 174 people, including Dr. James Andrews, who performed the surgery on his throwing shoulder in 2006, longtime throwing coach Tom House and Saints owner Gayle Benson.

"It's him," Saints tight end Benjamin Watson said. "It's surprising, but it's not surprising at the same time that he would give a special thanks to the guys that helped him along the way.

"Obviously this is his accomplishment, but him being the leader that he is, he loves to defer praise to other people. I'm just thankful to be able to play with him and be able to contribute to the greatness that he's achieved."

What an absolute star, would love the see the Saints win the SB this year.

Saints need to win 2 of their last 3 games to snatch the #1 seed after the Rams loss today.

I'm sad the Browns dream is over though, that would have been a great story. Imagine if they'd just fired the worthless coach who won a game in two seasons before the season started what could have been!

Since Sean Payton became the Saints head coach in 2006, New Orleans is a perfect 5-0 at home in postseason games.

Clinching the No. 1 seed following Sunday's win marked the second time in team history the Saints won't need to worry about travel arrangements, with the last time that occurred came in 2009 when the Saints went on to win the Super Bowl.

Win and we're win... Eagles should beat Skins so we have to beat Bears. Hopefully that second half can generate a bit of offensive momentum, first to 10 probably wins the game though!

Should be a pretty good playoffs.

Called it... alas it was not us that was first to 10...

Maybe we'll invest in an offensive line this offseason, just maybe, been like a decade now since we last did that and given we almost made a Superbowl by doing it you'd have thought it might stick.

Yep. Not surprised, less heartbreaking than last years hopes up and then hulk smash them way to go out...

Can Foles do it again? I don't like the Eagles (because they're the Eagles, obviously) but if the Saints aren't going to win it (Saints are my 2nd team) then the Foles narrative would probably be the next best story. That or Brady would be cool just for the history.

Don't mind the Texans, Rams or Colts as teams either. Ravens I only want to win as an FU to Flacco. Chargers would mean Rivers wins which is kind of cool and awful at the same time. Chiefs I just don't like, Mahomes creepy pedo look just, well, creeps me out and Andy Reid. Bears and Cowboys obviously no one likes except their fans, though the Mack FU to Gruden would be cool to see. Seahawks I don't know, I used to like them but Russ is such an unlikeable human it's hard to go for them, he's like Chris Paul, he's fucking great at the sport but just a pure douchenozzle of a human.

The big positive... I have no hopes and dreams to be crushed this playoffs at least, they're already dead.
