    It's official :-

Raiders acquire Marshawn Lynch in trade with Seahawks - NFL.com

Marshawn Lynch officially is a member of the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders announced Wednesday they acquired Lynch in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. Lynch and the Raiders earlier agreed to terms on a contract that allows him to come out of retirement and play for his hometown team.

The only thing that was standing in the way of the trade was Lynch passing a physical for the Raiders, which he did on Wednesday morning, a source informed of the situation said.

The draft compensation will be a swap of late-round picks in 2018. Seattle gets Oakland's fifth-round pick in exchange for Lynch and the Seahawks' sixth-round pick, according to the Raiders.

"Yes Lawd 12th man I'm thankful but [expletive] just got REAL I had hella fun in Seattle," Lynch wrote on Twitter shortly before NFL Network's Omar Ruiz saw him at the Raiders' team facility Wednesday morning. "But I'm really from Oakland doe like really really really from Oakland doe... town bizzness breath on me."

Lynch was slated to be in the Bay Area on Tuesday to meet with the Raiders but didn't catch his flight. He arrived Wednesday after returning from a trip to Haiti, where he and former Seahawks teammates Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett have been touring to help build schools and houses.

As is nearly always the case with Lynch, no one was celebrating until the deal was officially done. All parties involved were wary of celebrating a deal until Lynch met with those necessary to complete a deal.

Lynch's contract is a two-year deal with a base of $9 million, with a max value of $16.5 million, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Why a swap of late-round picks in the future? A source said both teams didn't want any uncertainty surrounding this year's picks so close to the start of the draft.

Lynch is also required -- eventually, but not immediately -- to file papers to unretire.

Lynch's move to Oakland caps off months of speculation about his return. He met with the Raiders on April 5 and expressed his desire to play for them. He told them he only wants to play for his hometown team in what amounted to a recruiting visit.

"I think it would be awesome just to have him around," quarterback Derek Carr told NFL Network's Steve Wyche two weeks ago. "He's a great teammate from everyone that I've talked to from the couple of Seahawks that we've had on our team. They love him."

Carr is about to find out what it's like to play alongside Beast Mode.

Think this is probably the most over hyped story of the off season. Don't think he will be effective whatsoever.

Yeah he looked done in his last year. A pick swap for a guy that was retired is fine by me

Raiders' Gareon Conley will not be charged in rape case - NFL.com

Oakland Raiders first-round pick Gareon Conley will not be charged in connection to a rape allegation made against him in April.

Michael C. O'Malley, Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Prosecutor, issued the following statement regarding the case:

After a thorough investigation by the Cleveland Police Department, the facts and circumstances surrounding the allegations of sexual assault against Gareon Conley were presented to a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury returned a No Bill on all possible charges.

"He is vindicated. He looks forward to contributing in the National Football League," Conley's attorney, Kevin Spellacy, told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday.

A league spokesperson issued the following statement on the matter to Rapoport: "We will follow up to gather as much information as we can."

Conley, 22, had vehemently denied the allegations. He told Cleveland police in May he had a consensual sexual encounter with the woman who accused him of rape and denied assaulting her, Spellacy told Rapoport.

Selected No. 24 overall by the Raiders in the 2017 NFL Draft, Conley signed his rookie contract with the team last week. Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said after the draft he was comfortable choosing Conley.

"I understand the issues involved," McKenzie told The MMQB. "But we did our research, and we read all the reports, and we did more than our due diligence. After all the information we got, we were comfortable with making this choice and confident in who this player is."

Conley is not subject to NFL discipline since the charge stems from an incident that occurred prior to the draft.

Beast Mode had 18 rushes for 76 yards, plus a 16-yard catch.

Marshawn Lynch, Sean McVay rock Week 1; Carson Palmer flops - NFL.com

    1) Marshawn Lynch, running back, Oakland Raiders

"Beast Mode" is back. After sitting out the 2016 season, Marshawn Lynch looked fresh while barreling over the Titans in a statement road win for Oakland in Nashville. Lynch is a major upgrade over Latavius Murray, and his value goes beyond the box score (18 rushes for 76 yards, plus a 16-yard catch). Lynch provides tremendous balance for the great Derek Carr (22 of 32 for 262 yards and two touchdowns, with a 114.3 passer rating), who picked up right where he left off before breaking his leg last Christmas Eve. And when Lynch clobbers and carries opponents across the gridiron, it busts a defense's will. The 31-year-old back set the tone right off the bat on Sunday, taking his first carry of the season 14 yards in a cutting, spinning, tackle-breaking blur of action.

The NFL is just better with Marshawn Lynch on the field. The burst and power is definitely still there. And the return to his hometown Raiders is glorious. Dude looks good in silver and black. Lynch and Oakland made noise with this quality road win, a few days after the rival Chiefs did the same in New England. As many assumed all offseason, the AFC West is shaping up to be a bear of a division in 2017.

Got a fair haul for him though and that contract is insane for a non-QB.

Tough call at the end of the day, love Mack but I think they've got about as much as they could out of a situation where they clearly couldn't pay him what he was demanding.
