Andre Johnson retired. In his prime he was arguably the best receiver in the league. Was hoping he'd have a stint in Jacksonville tbh

Jerry Jones says it's 'pretty definitive' that the Raiders will move to Las Vegas - CBSSports.com

There's a bit of stop-and-go when it comes to the Las Vegas Raiders. Lots of progress is made but then an obstacle like a really rich billionaire or a slowed-down relocation vote pops up.

If you want to read the tea leaves on how a possible relocation to Vegas will go down, there is one owner who might be smart to listen to, and that's Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. He's one of the most powerful owners in the league, and if you believe the stories of back-room dealings, he helped shepherd the Rams to Los Angeles.

And Jones, while speaking on CBS Sports Radio affiliate 105.3 the Fan in Dallas Tuesday morning, says he sees the Raiders to Vegas as almost a sure thing. He called it "pretty definitive" and said it could be "as strong" as the Los Angeles situation.

"Really if you look at the history of teams moving, this is pretty definitive. There's a pretty bright line right there. They've provided for a team, the most funding that's ever been funded from third parties," Jones said. "So that's about as strong, L.A. never really had that powerful of influence, I'll put it that way. Which is over $700 million of initial contribution from the state of Nevada and the city of Las Vegas. That's pretty strong. Vegas has a lot going for it. I think it's going to really have, a real, if you will, strong case to get an NFL football team. I know that Oakland, certainly, was approved to move earlier this year.

NFL 2016 News and Random Thoughts

The Los Angeles Rams are finally ready to see if No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff can turn their offense around.

NFL Network's Michael Silver confirmed with Goff that the Rams plan to start the rookie Sunday against the Dolphins in Los Angeles. ESPN first reported the news, and the team later confirmed the switch to Goff. Case Keenum, who started nine games this season, will hit the bench after failing to lead the Rams to a touchdown in New Jersey on Sunday in a 9-6 win over the Jets.

Just realised I'm in Boston for wildcard weekend.

Maybe we can lose a couple more to secure a wildcard?

Pats have Jets, Rams, Ravens, Broncos at Denver, Jets & Dolphins in their remaining schedule - the only team that may beat them is the Broncos in Denver. Almost certain to finish top of the AFC ....again.

I'm well aware of the love they give Aussies.

Only other city I will be in with a playoff team is San Fran (raiders not niners) and NY.

Might be able to go to the divisional round with Oakland

Rams' Jeff Fisher gets extension; GM also extended - NFL.com

These cunts are off their heads

In his first four seasons with the Rams, Fisher has guided the team to records of 7-8-1, 7-9, 6-10, and 7-9. The Rams currently sit at 4-7 with a difficult schedule down the stretch. Fisher hasn't led a team to a winning season since 2008 and has just six seasons in his 22-year coaching career with more than eight victories.

    And now he's been fired

He will have to share the record for most losses as head coach.

What Randy Gregory's Return Could Mean For The Cowboys

Randy Gregory just might suit up for the Dallas Cowboys this season after all.

According to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the talented defensive end is eligible to return to practice this week in an attempt to return to the field once his 14-game suspension ends. Dallas hosts the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 16.

This may seem odd to some because it was reported weeks ago that Gregory would be facing an additional year-long suspension. However, no suspension has been levied by the NFL as of yet. Even if a suspension were imposed in the near future, Gregory has the option to appeal, which would likely push the final verdict until the offseason. That means that Gregory may be able to participate in the Cowboys’ playoff run regardless.

For a team that is unable to put any tangible amount of pressure on opposing QBs on a consistent basis, Gregory’s return has the potential to be relatively big.
